Wel I got a spot in the show which is good I guess. School started which sucked, I don't really like my schedule. Especially since I got World History AP. So anyways ya I don't really like my school schedule. Band is taking up almost all my time after school which was expected. That's about all for now.

Marching

Wowsie, long time no post...

Hmm, where to begin. Ah yes.

Well three weeks ago I started band camp and well it was boring because we did basics the whole time. Our show is called nightmares so beware! lol. Monday was school and it was o.k. I guess I have an average schedule which includes world history AP, pray for me. I've many stories about failing and such so I'm praying that I live.

Finally today we got to move drill and learned 6 pages with our first game next week yay!
Ya thats pretty much all the exciting stuff for now I guess.

I'm tired of typing...

Well I haven't posted in a while...guess nothing really big is happening. Oh well, lets see on Wednesday we got audition results and I made third symphonic, not really happy. But oh well who cares, I'll earn my spot back from the person who beat me. Today all the horns weared our shirts that Michelle made for us which was cool. And tonight I have to go to a band banquet, which I have no clue what to dress up as...so ya got to go

Late Happy Mother's Day

Well here's a late Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's in the world! It's the one day that you have "leverage" to make us kids be good, or at least thats how it is at my family. Ya, it was all good yesterday, but the funniest thing that happened was when we went to get in the truck to leave for my great-grandmother's house our truck wouldn't start so we took the little "Red Rocket," our sunfire (sports car). So it was weird all these big trucks passing us with families lookin down on us, my dad, mom, sis, and me in a little sunfire. Well, it was a really fun expierience because that was like the first time that all four of us had been in the car since Mer was born. The good thing that came out of it though was that we saved on gas money!lol.

Auditions

Well this week has been slooooowwww but fast because audtions were today...ughh I hate them because everyone has to try out in front of everyone. I thought I actually did pretty good, the only bad thing was a "ut oh" on my chromatic which I skipped like eight notes. Oh well, overall I did well I thought so we'll have to wait and see. Results are out on the 18th grr we have to wait way to long.

Wow

Wow! I haven't posted in almost forever it seems like. I think I'm going into a phase of no blogging, who knows. Well anyways ya, lets see what has happened... We went to UIL and got straight 1's whcih is really good. Honors band got straight 2's and the same with concert. Oh, well at least we did good. Then on Tuesday we got back from our band trip which totally awesoeme! We left at 8 o clock on Firday and finally got settled and went to bed at three Saturday morning. lol. Then we had to wake up at 6 and get ready to go to competition on three hours of sleep. We played and finally got out of our tux's..which were very uncomfortable..and watched the honors band perform. Then we headed off to Sea World and messed around for the rest of the day there between all the rain. That night there was the awards thing and we got 1st place in our class. Concert and Honors came in second which was still pretty good considering that the point spread was only like two points between second and first. Then on Sunday and Monday we went to Universal Studios which was a bunch of fun because we didn't have to worry about anything bandwise. The plane ride home on Tuesday was good but I was so mad when I got my horn because the stupid airline people scratched, tore, and dinged up the case kind of badly. It was a brand new horn to so that made me even madder. Oh well, besides the horn case issue the trip was a blast!

Hmm, I haven't really said anything in a while because time has just completely flown by. We had not a lot of school but it was easy so it went by fast. Last week we had our final rehearsal before finals and it sucked big time. You don't even want to know the drama that occured. Then we had pre- uil on Tuesday which went o.k., not totally great. On Thursday we had an exibition at school which was our final performance before finals. I was awesome, TJ said we did great! Then we had finals on Friday and our show was better energy wise but no as good (to me) equipment wise. So anyways we got 5th out of 11th, which is pretty good. Our placements were 3, 3, 3, 9, 11th by the judges. We would have made third if we would have been rated 9 instead of 11th. SO ya, we were happy even though no trophy came home from us. On Saturday the A guard had a really good performance to, they came home with second and medals. That was really cool. So ya, nothing really exciting happening right now.

Wow, I haven't posted in almost a month, which seems like forever to me. I guess time has just flwn by if ya know what I mean. Spring break was a bunch of fun, I got to do a lot of things. We went to 6 flags which was cool besides my buddy paul completley throwing up all over the place. Gross! But ya, last week was my week back, it was good and we got out Friday so I guess you could count next week as my first official week back. Tomorrow is Easter so I get to see my family and go to church which is always good. Coming up we have pre-UIL so everyone wish us the best along with finals on Friday, here comes a busy week!

Hmm...Well nothing has really happened in the past few days. Although we're out for spring break! How exciting...the downfall is that this is like our last time to be off from school. But luckily I have band so thats about a week off. This Thursday we're goin to six flags. Ya, it was going to be me and my friends until Kelly's dad had to hop on. I thought it was just going to be me and them to hang out but now we have a parent going..yuk. Oh, well I wish something would happen and him not go but that isn't likely. I can't say anything now I guess because he already paid and everything. I'm not saying anything bad about the guy but I don't see why he has to come. I'm sure I'm the only one that cares, especially since I turned down a trip to San Antonio to be with my friends. Anyways I'm still excited that we're going.

Monday Madness

Well, lets see. Today was actually really good for a Monday. Everything and everbody ran pretty smooth instead of being raw and bear. It was great because everything just flowed and not a lot of stress about the upcoming week. I guess its because spring break is next week. YEA! I'm so excited, I think me and my friends are going to get together and maybe possibly over break and go to like six flags or sumthin. How nice it sounds to just sit and do nothing, no school work, no teachers, no band, and best of all: no stress. I amd looking forward but it wont be all sitting around, especially when you have a 3 year old lil sis at home. So ya thats a bout it, tomorrow we have a UIL preview concert, that should be a lot of fun.

Who Knows?

I dont' know what has happened here but its like the plague came through my family. My lil sis started to get sick and then it spread to my mom and then tried to get me but i got medicine before it got really bad and then hit my dad...but he got medicine early. So it only really affected Meredith and mom. Although Meredith is pretty much over it now though and mom is ok..not great. So we all were not feeling good yesterday. I had planned on going to Rachel's B-Day party but I wasn't up to going so I couldn't. I felt really bad but I didn't want to get any of my friends sick so I stayed home. Guess you'll have to wait until tomorrow for your present Rachel!

Today was better we got to go and eat at On the Border. Yum! So ya dn I got this book for english called Alas Babylon and suprisingly does'nt look to bad.

Tomorrow is back to school...YUK....but hey the countdown is on until spring break!

New Blogskin and Week

Hey! I actually finished this blogskin that I've been working on since what seems forever ago that I started. I couldn't find and winterguard templates so I decided to make my own..but I think I'm going to change the picture to either my guard or something else.....I'm up for suggestions!

This week has been actually pretty good. We got our official guard shirts last night..they're awesome! Thanks to Dee and her dad for getting them for us all. Nothing really has been happening so far I guess. We had our band meeting for the trip. I can't believe that its almost hear. Scary but yet exciting.

Spring break is a total of 2 weeks away! Freedom~

Guard, Guard, Guard, and Guard

Well this weekend was awesome! We had a competition on Friday at Cedar Hill. We went and performed and we were so happy about our performance because we had finished our show and people had energy etc. When awards came we got 4th out of 6th. None of us were all that happy at first but then we realized that we had another competition coming up and need not to be so mad. So we went to Taco Bell...yumm... and got home and to bed at about 1:30 then had to get back up at 8:30 and boy were we tired. So after the sleepyness wore off we got there warmed up and did all the normal stuff. We walked out into the gym and man was it big! Almost three stories high! Well we performed and weren't as happy as Friday so we were like great we're gonna do bad. Especially because we were competing against 12 or 13 other guards. Awards come..cadet class, novce class then us. They start out and they keep going we were estatic because we beat both Rowlett and Garland! And best of all we placed 3rd and got a trophy baby!
So ya..we were really happy about where we placed. Also A guard got second place so excellent job to them as well!

Guard, Weekend, Etc.

Wll on Friday we went to the Creekview guard contest. We got there and were sort of behind schedule so we went straight to warm-up. After that we performed an extremely good show for us, even though our show wasn't done. T.J. said that we would be happy with our placement so we knew that we did good, but I guess not good enough. We got 6th out of 7th. It sucked big time! And the worst part was that if we had finished our show we most likely would have come in 1st place! It annoyed the dawg out of us! I don't think T.J. even agreed where we placed.

After the competiton my parents took me and some friends out to eat at Ihop so that was fun..we stayed up there until around midnight.

The rest of my weekend was good I guess nothing really big and exciting. Today I had a GA thing from 2-4 that was EXTREMELY boring because we just went over the schedule from last year. I don't really like any of the adult staff but I really can't talke because I haven't talked to them and gotten to know them.

Off to watch some t.v. then bed....new term tomorrow baby!!...and that means no more Biology!

Exam Day

Today we had exams at school and you know whats the gayest thing in the world? I had to wake up early for band and we didn't do anything except play cards fur an hour and a half. I guess its better than taking an exam now that I think of it. So anyways ya I didn't do anything at school today..it was a waste, but a good waste. Afterwards me and mom went to Willobend and I went into Hollister again and decided it wasn't so bad after all...lol. So ya, I got a couple tee-shirts there and then we went to eat at On The Border which was cool because we never get to do that without Meredith.

Well now I'm gonna go and look at different blogskins cuz I'm thinkin about changing.

Warning: About to melt down in 10,9,8...

Oh man, we had guard last night and all I can say is oh my goodness. Lets start with some of the bad news. We only have 1:47 learned of our show and we're supposed to have at least 3:00 learned by Friday. People just don't feel like working to make our guard successful except for the people that haven't really been on it before. I mean we have a rifle sectional before and Steven doesn't show during practice Kelsi' giving T.J. attitude. I mean come on, thats a good way to get better and succed at things isn't it? Not! I was sooo freaking mad after practice that I just had to stay and throw my rifle and smack it to let out anger. Afterwards I talked to my friend and captain Shelbie and she was the same way as me. Ughh, to me, if your not going to practice please just drop guard and move on with your life. It gets VERY annoying when you go to practice and we have to work on the same things at every practice. How hard is it to go outside for at least 5-10 minutes and practice your routine to make sure you have things? So anyways ya, me and quite a few people were dissapointed with how rehearsal went.

On a better note, I only have to go to school for about nd hour and a half tomorrow and I'm out until Monday cuz of exams.

Happy Valentines!

Happy Valentines Day!

Today was fun...woke up this morning and my dad, sis, and I surprised mom with Godiva white choclate (yum!), bath and body works, flowers, and some other things.

Also we had to clean (not exciting) but then we got to leave and did some things including going to Galleria and to Hollister. I had never been there and really don't expect to be going back any time soon. Although I did go to Target and AE and got a few things thanks to momma!

Tomorrow is back to the grind sadly but not really because this is exam week so nothing is really normal. All I have is a test in Biology and movies a lot of the week. Also I get to stay after school for winterguard so thats always fun because a group of us always does that. Speaking of winterguard I have a contest on Friday, I think we're ready! We had a mommy-daddy performance on last Thursday and I did pretty good. I only dropped the rifle on the triple the first time and caught the second. We're all pumped because we think we can take it away but not getting to pumped because we still remember making 8th on the last competition.

Well I'm gonna go and do some packing for tomorrow since I'm at school from 7:20 a.m. to about 8:30 p.m.

Weekend

Nothing really excting happened this weekend for me..a.nd personally if you ask me I kinda like it. Mainly because usually I am running crazy and don't get to rest...especially during the week. So if people wonder why teenagers always want it to be the weekend we just say one word...sleep~ All my friends by the time Tuesday roles around we're so tired...especially guard friends. You have no clue how hard guard is until you do it...I mean me and my buddy Paul were always like ya colorguard is sooo easy..not now.lol. So ya I liked to rest and I just did some rifle work yesterday and thats about it.

So anyways ya...Friday we have a guard competition so everyone wish us luck! I think we're gonna do really good.

The Good and of Course The Bad

Well on Tuesday we had winterguard and all went well. We learned new drill spots and work, or at least the flags did and we even got out early. The rifles are planing to go out on Saturday and make t-shirts so that we can wear them on Friday, which happens to be the same day as our contest. Afterwards we were putting up the floor and when we got to the guard room Paul said something to Lorrie bout how it needed to be put and she just went off on him. I can't stand her!! Nor the captains!The one thing me and my buddy Paul have figured out about guard is that there is just way to much drama always happening. We can't wait until marching season comes back...lol...but we still like doing guard. Also to top that off Steven said that he's moving to A' guard and leaving us. Not good. So this will be his last competition with us and after that I think I have to take up his place.

Today I got REALLY awesome news which made my day. I made a 77 on the benchmark for Biology and so I got exempt from the final next week! That means I go to school for an hour and a half on Thursday and none on Friday. It's soooo exciting. I can't wait until next year because I can have a chance to exempt all classes.

Solo & Ensemble

Today I had solo and ensemble. For those of you that do not know what it is then keep reading...if you do skip to the next paragraph. Solo and Ensemble is a contest where a person who plays an instrument prepares a piece of music and plays it for a judge to get a rating. The rating tells you what kind of player and such you are but more importantly...tells you what you need to work on. Its the same way with an ensemble except a group of people go and play.

I played Concerto by Franz Strauss and got a rating of a 2. I figured that was what I was going to get because I hadn't put forth all my effort on just my solo because of school, winterguard, etc. On my ensemble though we rocked and played Fripperies No. 4. The judge sayed that we did really well on our music for a group of "youngsters". We waited and waited and got a 1! So that means we qualified for the state competiton which is awesome! We all wanted to make it to state and we did it. So now all we have to do is work work work to get better. There really mean at state. My friend Jennifer went last year and they got a 3. So ya..and the best part is that we are the only all freshman ensemble that went from our school I think.

So all and all it was a good day.

Haven't Posted

Man...I haven't posted in the past couple days.I guess time just flew by...know what I mean?

This week was o.k. all week I've had Biology, Algebra, and Geography tests. It sucks bigtime but the good thing is that if I pass them all I can get exempted out of those exams because I'm on a trimester schedule.

Last night I had winterguard and the best thing ever happened...I got promoted from flag to rifle line baby! I was soooooooooooo happt because flag is good and all but rifle is so much better and its not as "boring" as flag is. So now I'm officially on the rifle line. Hopefully I'll do good. TJ said all I need to know is how to throw singles and doubles...which I already can do because I've been workin with this really crappy rifle at home when I'm bored of flag and have nothing better to do. This girl Lorrie who used to be my friend and really isn't anymore because of the things she's done came up and said to my face..." Im not saying I don't have confidence in you, but I mean I tried out for rifle and didn't make it so how are you going to do it?"...and on top of that she said it right in front of my best friend Paul and one of our captains. Who does she think she is God? Obviously.

Anyways my week has been good...now I have to go and get some help because I'm going to attempt to change my blog template.

Winterguard

Just got back from winterguard a couple minutes ago...mman it was fun. The A' guard and B' guard got to switch off on running our shows. There are a few people who are struggling and need major help but I'm actually doing pretty good...so I'm happy. I just wish those few people will practice so that we dont suck at our next show. I mean our flag work looks really hard but it really isn't after you actually practice and do it a few times. It jsut really frustrates me because a lot of people practice and do what they're supposed to do but I guess you always have those certiain few.

My aunt Shannon had her baby tonight so here's a "hey..welcome" to Kyle Moser.

We all went to winterguard last night and man o man was it awesome. TJ basically rewrote our show and it is now pimpin! We get to do really hard flag work but after we get it together its gonna kick a**.

My friend paul got dumped by his gf. He was soooooo sad. So here's a shoutout to him...hang in there cuz someone else will come along.

Its been a while since I posted...nothing really has been happening.

Yesterday we had a winterguard competition at Fossil Ridge...YIKES! B' guard...my guard did horrenodous! We got 8th out of 9th place. I guess because we had never been to a competition like that before and stagefright overcame us. Flags and rifles were all over the place and it wasn't pretty...I got to see the videotape first because my dad handled video. Oh well, Next time we'll do better probably...hopefully. We need to smile and act a lot more excited.

On the other hand, Our A' guard did well finishing 3rd out of 6th...so they got to move up into the next division. Also most everybody had already been to a w.g. comp before...unlike us.

All in all it was loads of fun...I mean whats better than spending a complete day with your friends?

Winterguard was tonight. I like going to winterguard because its like a place I can go and not have to think really hard about people school etc. Also people there are real and not fake...like at school. It's just one of those things that you get to see the "real person" and not the act. I even have some friends that are that way.

We have done well so far..1:11 and climbing. We had the early rehearsal so it was mainly devoted to cleaning and not learning. Our stuff is way easy...I think it should be harder personally if you ask me. TJ says though that if we just do our stuff and smile (its a rule of thumb bout guard) then we'd kick butt.

Have a science test tomorrow..yikes! I hate science test days. It's the hardest class for me...mainly because I'm in honors and we have to do harder things. I always freak out on test days but I always get good grades. Who knows. Last test I was SO mad at myself because I studied the total wrong thing and I walked out there with an 86 and almost everyone in my class either failed or barley passed.

Welp gonna go and chat on aim etc.

Had Winterguard last night, it was pretty fun I guess. We moved from 45 sec. of our show being done to 1:11! Which is really cool. The only bad thing is that our score can only be a 60..and thats if we're perfect. TJ gave us a rating of about a 30-35. LOL. So it looks like it we have some work to do.

Another weird thing that happened was that my friend Rachel sent me a text message asking if I was really going to Cotillion with Lorrie!. That's Soooo gross if you ask me. Lorrie is a friend but I would NEVER and repeat NEVER go out to Cotillion or out with her in a million years!

So that has been the extent of my couple of days.

This weekend has been a total drag...I haven't done anything.

Nobody has called and I stayed home all day yesterday when I got to go to Subway...lots of fun.....not. We were going there and it was just me and my dad. Of course he's cold natured and I'm hot natured. The car temp read luike 50 and I had shorts, and flip-flops on and he had pants and a heavy coat. He turned the car on almost 90 degrees. By the time we got there I was almost sweating. Oh, well...at least he let me crack the window on the way home.

So anyways ya...I've done nothing this weekend.

Today was my first day back to school.....so you know what that means. I had to wake up when it was dark and had to leave when it was basically dark, in which for me, wasn't a good thing. Then I got to school and it seemed like it took forever until the periods passed. Finally the bell rang to let us leave and wow how happy I was. It was sooo nice to hear that bell. The only good thing about going back I guess was that I got to speak to my friends who I hadn't spoken to in almost two weeks. So basically everyone was happy about that.

Also today I heard about Larry Kirker who over the break was in an accident and basically had to have part of his brain removed. Nobody knows if he's going to live or not...the docs say there is a good chance. So here's a shoutout for him, parents, and brother. Hope y'all are doing o.k. and letting you know that you are in my prayers.

Welcome '05 and bye '04~

Christmas was good...haven't blogged since eve..... I got an U2 special edition ipod! It's awesome...also I finally got a t.v. also. My mom has always said that I would never have a t.v. in my room because "they trash your brain"...as she always says. So Christmas was a great one this year...also everyone was just about over the sickness...sortof.
